Hi, I’m Ryan Sims, founder of LHR Windows & Doors. I started this company with one goal in mind: to do things differently — and better — than what most people expect from home improvement companies.

After years in the industry, I saw too many homeowners getting overwhelmed by pushy salespeople, poor-quality installs, or contractors who simply didn’t show up. I knew I could build something better — something honest, reliable, and built on real relationships.

Before starting LHR Windows & Doors, I was a top-performing sales professional at one of the leading window and door companies in the region. During our initial meeting, I immediately knew I wanted to go with him for window replacement when the time was right financially. He was personable, knowledgeable and didn’t try to pressure me like some salesmen do. Fast forward a year, I reached back out to finally begin our window and siding replacement process and found out that he opened his own business!

Ryan is professional, responsive, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He doesn’t give you the “salesman” vibe and respects your decision to take time and think about the project instead of pushing you into it.
Things I appreciate is the ease of communication. He responds quickly with a text or phone call, after hours and on the weekends. He helps talk through the decisions that need to be made and shows examples to help simplify the process. It’s extremely helpful and helps offload the stress of making decisions on big projects.

Lastly, his price point is the best I’ve seen yet, and I have quoted many companies.

We just came across Ryan Sims from a yelp review while we were in the midst of a long process of getting quotes from other window replacement companies.  The quotes were SO high that we decided we needed to look elsewhere.  We contacted Ryan in the evening and he came out the very next day.  Our meeting with him was efficient and productive.  We told him what our priority was and he was able to quickly come up with solution to meet our needs for our phase 1 at a significantly lower cost than the other companies.  He made the process so easy and clear that we signed with him on the spot - which we never do.  We look forward to getting to install date and I will come back with another review at that time.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Based on so many local recommendations, we called Ryan Sims for a window quote. Compared to other window presentations we had, he made the presentation and quote process absolutely painless. It was less than an hour, but he answered all of our questions. He was also available very quickly by text and email when we had follow-up questions. Not only that, but his price also beat the other companies by quite a bit!

He use to be with Apex Windows, but has actually started his own business, Lyndal Home Remodeling. We just signed the contract to upgrade our windows with him. I’ll update once the install process is done and let y’all know how everything went!

At first, I shopped around to many of the top ranked window companies in the area, but I am so glad I ran into Lyndal Home Remodeling.  The window consultation and estimation process was a night and day difference than the other (high pressure) sales pitches I was given, and I felt like Ryan wanted to give me the best solution for my family and my home.

We hired LHR Windows & Doors (Ryan Sims and Chris Price) to replace our windows and front door, and the experience was excellent from the first meeting to the final walkthrough. Ryan and Chris are two of the most honest contractors you'll ever meet. They were straightforward about scope and pricing, no pressure, and everything they promised in writing is what showed up at our house.

The proposal itself was unusually detailed: full-frame ProVia Endure Series windows with the DLA-UV glass package, simulated divided lite grids, custom sizing on most of the openings, expansion foam insulation in every opening, and coil-wrapped exterior capping on all the trim. None of the insert/sash-kit shortcuts you see from other companies. For the door we went with the Ironmax fiberglass slab in black, and it looks fantastic. It completely changed the feel of the front of the house.

Scheduling and communication were easy throughout. The windows arrived and were installed exactly as promised. The install crew was efficient and thorough. They protected the interiors, hauled away all the old windows, and didn't leave a mess behind. The crews work specifically for LHR, and it shows: 10+ years of experience working in high-end homes, OSHA/AAMA and factory certified, and they back it with a lifetime labor warranty.

The part that really sold us was the aftercare. After install we asked them to come back and adjust the caulking and weather stripping on the door, and they did it without a hint of complaint. The door hardware was genuinely hard to source, an odd size that we couldn't find anywhere, and they tracked it down and helped us order the right one rather than leaving us to figure it out.

Honestly, the house just feels different now. Quieter, brighter, and the curb appeal is night and day. The neighbors have noticed too. Billing was clean and transparent the whole way through, invoiced in stages and paid by card with no surprises.

We would not hesitate to recommend LHR to anyone doing windows or doors, and we look forward to using them again when we do the next phase of the house.

Ryan was the only one who did not hold us hostage for an hour and the conversation was more informative and enjoyable than all of the other long winded quotes. He was the only one who didn’t talk at us, but with us. Breath of fresh air. He gave us houses to go look at as examples of his work and answered all of our questions. Ryan (the owner) was a pleasure to work with and was involved from start to finish (shows he really cares). He and Stephanie (the administrator) were easy to communicate with and were always quick to reply. The installation team was very friendly and professional. They were great and had 22 windows installed in 1 day. There were a couple minor problems discovered after the install and they showed up a few days later and addressed them.
